Ajna Chakra Retreat East
Ajna Chakra: Gateway to completing the journey
While self realization is the ultimate supreme goal, there are numerous goals to be attained along the pathway, and some intermediate goals bear deeper significance. One of these key goals is the opening of the Ajna chakra, the entrance to the fort. It is one of the most difficult chakras to pierce, but once inside, everything is achieved. As Dhyanyogi-ji's work has been unfolding over the past forty-eight years through Anandi Ma, it is now time to deepen the key practices to open this chakra. This retreat encompasses the subtler aspects and practices to facilitate and hasten the opening. Effort from the individual Will proportionately attracts grace that will make the journey complete.
Although one may have practiced for many years and experienced profound states, often there remains a degree of incompleteness and instability. One has had glimpses but not infinite steadiness. It is only after the piercing of the Ajna chakra that the true, complete, steady and stable states of meditation occur. The journey may be profound but as long as even one step to the goal is lacking, the journey itself is incomplete.
Let’s now take those final steps to complete the journey.— Dileepji
The command center
The term Ajna comes from the Sanskrit root "anj," meaning "to command, to direct, or to perceive." It signifies a level of mastery where the individual mind aligns with higher mind, allowing the practitioner to direct energy and awareness purposefully. The Ajna Chakra is seen as the seat of the Guru Tattwa, the bridge between Guru and disciple. In surrendering personal will at this center, one opens to divine grace and the individual ego dissolves into the larger cosmic consciousness. Piercing the Ajna Chakra is like breaking into a fort, but once opened it leads directly to the Sahasrara, the realm of ultimate realization.
"Guruji said that the command center is within you. That is, practice to open your third eye."
